Real Estate and Site Requirement
Our Franchise Development Department offers our franchisees broad, pre-opening counseling and advisory services regarding site selection, zoning, permit requirements, architectural drawings, construction plans, and other aspects of developing SOME FOOD restaurants.
Other features of our ideal site are as follows:
Trade Area Demographics:
• Population of 25,000 or more
• Median age 30 – 40
• Median income per household $30,000 – $50,000
• Average household size 2.5 or greater
• At least 70% of population with a high school degree
• At least 30% of population employed in clerical or service categories
Site Characteristics:
• Primary traffic artery with an average daily traffic count of at least 20,000
• Easy ingress, egress, with full turning motion
• High visibility
• Zoned for drive-thru restaurant
• Ability to obtain standard freestanding signage
• Must be no closer than 2 miles to an existing Some Food restaurant.
• Development-friendly trade areas without unrealistic design restrictions
Local Traffic Generators:
• Shopping centers
• Destination retailers (Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, Target)
• Universities
• County seats
Local Employment Generators:
• Hospitals
• Office complexes
• Industrial parks
These are not absolute criteria. Specific sites will be considered on their individual merits. Criteria will change depending on the style of prototype restaurant chosen and site location.
